| Brooklyn-based alternative rock band Cale and the Gravity Well announce their EP Creation Myths, due out in November 2017. The five track EP comes highly anticipated after the group’s 2016 debut album The Age Of Envy, which received raves from tastemakers like Impose Magazine and Music Existence.
October 5th, Cale and the Gravity Well releases “Zambia” via All Things Go who stated, “”Zambia is about feeling like life is mundane, and that boredom and unfulfillment is the fault of your environment or other external factors instead of you. So the impetus is that by leaving it all behind, by say going to some exotic and romantic land, you could change all that without changing yourself, which of course, doesn’t really work.” This is the first offering from Creation Myths, an EP that crafts a story of youth, anxiety, and confrontation with the future.
Creation Myths was curated by Jim Fairchild, Modest Mouse guitarist turned producer, and engineered by Mike Cresswell (Sun Kill Moon, ALO). Bonderman’s eclectic sensibilities combined with Fairchild’s decades of innovative arrangement experience to create an EP both powerful in its construction and humble in its aesthetic. Ordinary life may be the subject of the EP, but Creation Myths is careful to avoid banality or limitation. Creation Myths will be released digitally and physically via Made In The Shade Records. |
